LTR was founded by Jonathan Townsend-Rose and Andrew Loyd in the spring of 1999 to promote some of Scotland's finest Houses and Castles for private and corporate use. The portfolio has quickly spread to other countries in Europe and further afield but wherever we operate, the emphasis is very much on personal attention and providing an unsurpassed level of service and expertise to ensure the ultimate holiday experience for our clients.
Whilst fully staffed properties and the vacations around them remain the focus of LTR, we also bring the same levels of service and experience to yacht charters and some idyllic self catering properties.
All the suppliers that we use are tried and trusted & known as the best in their field. It is all about offering the ultimate luxury.
Jonathan had previously managed large agricultural estates throughout Scotland and England giving him a rare insight into the workings of these magnificent properties but also a good understanding of the challenges involved. He has built up an impressive knowledge of these countries and of what they have to offer, as well as a keen interest in all the 'sport' available. Shooting and fishing being keen personal pastimes.
Andrew has spent 10 years in hotel management for top London properties, followed by 8 years managing private estates for some prominent New York families, which took him throughout the US and Canada. It was on returning from the US, that Andrew and Jonathan joined forces and decided to form LTR.
The company has developed in a number of directions, now offering specialised cultural tours to museum groups and a bespoke service to our upscale clients at properties throughout Europe. We are also happy to work with other tour operators where we know that they will offer a similar level of service in their chosen fields.
