Ackergill Tower
This castle was the centre of many a historic battle before surrendering to Cromwell’s troops in 1671. It has spectacular views of the ocean and its very own opera house. In the summer, arrange to have a picnic on the estate’s beautiful beach and the chef will prepare delicious local seafood.
