The property is a beautifully furnished grade II heritage listed Manor house set in 2 acres of lush garden, with its own tennis court, cricket pitch, wildflower meadow, orchard, organic vegetable garden and a knot garden. There are electronic security gates and the house is secluded from the other properties in the village.
The owners have retained many of the original features and restored much of the wonderful wood panelling and floors.The house has a wonderful rustic feel and yet is comfortable and well laid out, offering 4 excellent bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, sitting room, wood panelled dining room and library with satellite tv and video player . There is also an additional shower room in the annexe, which has a childrens play area, tv and a variety of games, books and a mini pool table. This building also has an exercise room equipped with basic gym equipment. There is a broadband connection in the Manor if guests wish to use their laptops.
This is Shakespeare country and Stratford-upon-Avon is approximately 20 minutes away. Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill is 25 minutes away and Oxford, with it's 12th century university is 30 minutes away. So there is much to see and in fact the list is endless, with Warwick Castle, Broughton Castle, Sudeley Castle, Tewkesbury Abbey, Compton Verney all close by. Then of course you have all the glorious Cotswolds towns & villages which are such fun to explore and which have wonderful old pubs, plenty of antique shops and exquisite architecture to gaze at. This whole area is a joy to wander through and the rolling countryside is stunning.
The Manor house is let on a self-catering basis. They will provide a luxury hamper of local organic produce at no extra cost. There are excellent pubs in the area and several good farm shops with organic produce. Chefs and waiting staff can be arranged, all towels and linens are included and extra cleaning can be laid on at an additional cost if requested in advance. The property has 2 staff caretakers on site who can assist with any other needs.
