The Chateau de Tourreau in Provence is a completely renovated and meticulously restored 18th century chateau designed by Charles le Brun and set in acres of mature parkland. Great wrought iron gates open onto a long, straight drive flanked by two majestic lines of ancient plane trees and leading to the front doors of the Chateau.
Throughout the Chateau, there are many different worlds for the guests to enjoy. With its high ceiling, deep chairs and well stocked shelves, the library is a reader's paradise. Then there's the Peacock salon, in which the home cinema fast forwards the 18th century into the 21st with a 42" plasma screen and a spread of CDs and DVDs. Many guests end the evening in the Salon Ovale. Here the walls are panelled in the 18th century oak which makes it an intimate setting for a quiet chat over a late night digestif.
