Birkhill lies on the shores of the River Tay estuary in Fife. It is the home of the Earl and Countess of Dundee. The house is surrounded by beautiful gardens and during the summer months guests can enjoy the heated swimming pool, tennis court and private beach. Birkhill is primarily a family home and offers a warm welcome to all that cross its front door. It is the perfect venue for a family reunion and is close to both Edinburgh and Dundee airports.
Most of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, whilst others are adjacent and all have wonderful views towards the estuary and surrounding estate. The drawing room has a large log fire surrounded by comfortable sofas and armchairs. If you want to escape for an hour or two with a good book then there is also the library to retreat to.
The dining room, which sits 20, with its log fire and chandelier is a perfect setting for a formal dinner. A four course dinner is chosen in advance by the host of the party and served with house wines. If you want fine wines these can be ordered to complement the menu and are charged at cost.
