An historic Castle built around a 1320 Pele Tower and given by King Robert the Bruce to the Earl of Moray. The castle is situated in the heart of the rolling hills of the idyllic Scottish Borders on the edge of the market town of Duns.
The family of Hay have owned the castle since 1696, and along with their dedicated staff welcome guests to their home that retains a very intimate and personal feel in spite of its historic grandeur and furnishings, and the quiet professionalism of their approach.
Cottages on the estate sleeping up to 25 people add to the 23 capacity of the castle itself, and with a dining room that can accommodate 60, Duns Castle is now renowned as a wonderful venue for weddings, private parties and corporate events. Private stays are also possible, subject to the diary.
