It is close to the Queen's highland home Balmoral and in her day Queen Victoria was a frequent visitor. The Castle retains a wealth of its important heritage including orginal Victorian furniture and paintings. The house has been extensively refurbished and now offers a very level of comfort, whilst retaining it's original charm and elegance.

The Castle also has a fine wine cellar of Domaine bottled Rhones and Burgundies, classed growth Bordeaux and estate wines from Italy and California.
